Dr. Roderic Hewlett
Business Professor, Bellevue University & Grewcock Chair for American Vision and Values
Dr. Hewlett is vice president of the Institute for Advanced Professional Programs, Grewcock Chair—Center for American Vision and Values, and Professor of Business. Dr. Hewlett began his professional career in the US Army in 1976, retiring in 2002 from the U.S. Army National Guard as a Lt. Colonel. He has held positions as chief financial officer for the International Schools Group in Saudi Arabia, assistant professor at Clarke College, superintendent of capital projects and contracting services at Saudi Iron and Steel Corporation and pricing manager at Sundstrand Corporation. At the University from Laureate Education, Dr. Hewlett led global product development and strategy for the management, business, and legal education programs.
Dr. Hewlett earned his Doctorate and Master of Arts degrees in economics from Middle Tennessee State University and Bachelor of Science degree in business from Cameron University. He is a published author, a Certified Financial Manager and Treasury Professional, and is a frequent contributor for national publications and organizations on global business, finance, economics, and leadership. Dr. Hewlett’s presentations are always exceptional and highly inspiring. One of his greatest attributes is that he can take seemingly complex subjects and problems and demonstrate, through real-life examples and principles of liberty, just how simple the issues and solutions are.
